Michelle became interested in healthy eating and living when she was 14 years old. She is now a registered dietitian who obtained her BSc. degree in Dietetics in 2015 at the North West University.
She completed her community service year in Vereeniging, Gauteng. There she was responsible for the nutritional intervention and care of patients in the medical, paediatric, surgical and tuberculosis wards. She consulted with individuals and provided education to groups on various nutrition-related problems. After completing her community service year, Michelle worked as a locum Dietitian at Rondebosch Medical Centre and Life Vincent Palotti hospital in Cape Town. She began working for DAW in 2018.
She is also studying part-time towards a Certificate in Christian Counselling with the South African Theological Seminary (SATS).
Michelle is passionate about promoting real, wholesome foods that support overall health. She believes that food is at the heart of all of our lives, and even though it is about health, it is also about fun, enjoyment and relationship
